I am now 1 and 2 weeks post-op, woo! I’m off the pain medication and I got myself a knee scooter (highly recommend). Check out this week’s check in video to learn more about how these first few weeks after surgery went. Reminder that I am just sharing my experience and things could sort out differently for you. Make sure to consult a doctor for any medical advice. One correction: I had a splint, not a cast for my first week post op. I’ve learned these are a bit different. A cast is a stiff material that goes all the way around your leg preventing movement and a splint is only hard on the one side – for me that was on the heel and under side part of my leg. The top part of the splint was soft.
